UltiZero Games is a relatively small team from Shanghai, China. Whether this means that it will be a PS5 exclusive or timed exclusive remains to be seen, but we’ll surely know more information closer to the time.
The game caught the attention of players several years ago and eventually, the eye of Sony as it’s now serving as the global publisher of the title. Little is known about Lost Soul Aside other than what we’ve seen in trailers so far. The combat remains the highlight of Lost Soul Aside, which seems to draw plenty of inspiration from other hack-and-slash action games like Devil May Cry, Bayonetta and even a bit of the action-RPG Final Fantasy XV. We’ve only ever seen vertical slices of the gameplay before in smaller sections, but the new gameplay really expands the areas and levels. The latest gameplay trailer for Lost Soul Aside shows the anticipated action RPG in a much more polished state with great visuals, stylish combat and more variety in its environments. As reported back in April 2021, it’s expected to release on PS5 but other platforms haven’t been confirmed yet. The news was accompanied by a new gameplay trailer that showed off more of the game’s world, exciting hack-and-slash combat and various abilities. If you're worried about being able to play the game on PS5, you might be happy to hear that Sony has asked suppliers to help them increase production on PS5s in 2021.Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that it will publish the Chinese-developed action-RPG Lost Soul Aside from UltiZero Games and release it globally in early 2024. It's not clear when the game is set to release now, but if it appears at the upcoming PlayStation press conference then we could find out the release date then. Lost Soul Aside was originally targeting a 2018 release date, before being delayed until 2020. It was reported in 2016 that the game would be a time PlayStation exclusive.Īlthough its last proper trailer came out in 2018, UltiZeroGames hasn't been completely silent and has offered updates on both the game and the team over the past few years, including showing off some concept art for the game. Yang Bing was then approached by Sony to collaborate on the game, with the team UltiZeroGames being formed from that meeting. It was originally started as a solo gaming project by Yang Bing, with a trailer releasing in 2016 that went fairly viral thanks to its graphics and combat. Lost Soul Aside has had a long and interesting development cycle. If it's following this trend, it seems to be hinting that the next appearance will be at the PlayStation press conference on April 29.
2016 was the game's first appearance, whilst 2018 was the last time that it appeared. The first image posted had 2016 on the bottom of the poster, whilst the second one had 2018, so it seems as if it's pointing out the times the game has been shown in public.
